GENERAL FITTING ADVICEGENERAL FITTING ADVICE
- For the correct laying of the materials it is necessary to fix them on flat, clean, level surfaces.
- One must respect structural, perimeter and expansion joints.
- It is recommended to alternate different pieces from different boxes and to lay them out before fitting to see the direction of the pieces and the uniformity of the shades.
- For porcelain tiles one has to use specialist adhesive, using a combed trowel on the surface where they have to be fixed ensuring that the tiles do not get wet prior to fitting.
- For rectangular formats using brick bond positioning the tile must never surpass 20% of the side of the adjacent piece.
- For rectified tiles the recommended joint is of 2 mm. for floors and 1 mm. for walls.
- It is not recommended to use abrasive products nor incompatible chemical agents without previous consultation when cleaning after the tiles have been fixed.
