Porcelanicos HDC select their materials according to the quality, resistance and behaviour that is necessary to meet the demands of the final consumer.
A specialised quality control is applied for each individual product, such as the mixture of dust and atomised feldspars, white clay, kaolin and quartz. The exact dosage of these pastes at the start of the production process ensures that the product has the desired fusion characteristics, compactness and whiteness.
High tonnage hydraulic presses are used in order to be able to compress the tile body with a pressure greater than 500 kg/m2 and therefore obtain the required compactness.
The process of glaze application and design printing is applied to all white bodied wall tiles. It is also used for porcelain tiles to obtain further aesthetic properties and designs if required
Due to the specialist quality of the materials used a very high firing temperature is required reaching temperatures of 1.200 degrees C and various heat circles. This ensures that the mechanical resistance of the end product is very high and the water absorption (porosity) is minimal.
Before the packing stage of the end product, quality is controlled by means of planetry, ortogonality, calibre and surface finish.
One part of the production will be treated by specialised machinery to obtain a polished or a rectified finish.
Once the end product has been boxed and palletised it will be adequately stored by model awaiting distribution.
